Safety and Efficacy of the BNT162b2 mRNA Covid-19 Vaccine

Pfizer vaccine phase 2/3 study, published in the NEJM in December 2020, that made the remarkable and misleading claim that the vaccine “was 95% EFFECTIVE in preventing Covid-19”. In fact the 95% was an EFFICACY calculation, based on the RRR of a tiny subset of 170 of the 43,448 participants who received injections.
